Bruce Wood

Bruce was appointed an executive director of AWE on 11 April 2007.
Bruce Wood is a petroleum engineer with over 30 years of technical, commercial and management experience in the upstream oil and gas industry. In addition to extensive experience in Australia, he has also lived and worked in Holland, France, United States and Central America.
Prior to joining AWE, Bruce was General Manager and director of Delhi Petroleum.

Dennis Washer
Chief Operating Officer and General Manager New Zealand
Dennis Washer joined AWE in July 2006 as General Manager New Zealand and is responsible for AWE's business in New Zealand including the Tui oil field.
Dennis was recently promoted to Chief Operating Officer of AWE. He is responsible for the delivery of AWE's business goals from both its operated and non-operated assets. Delivery of a safe workplace and protection of the environments in which AWE works is Dennis' first priority.
Dennis' career has encompassed strong operational and project management experience across a range of international oil and gas settings. In 1995 he joined NZ's Fletcher Challenge Energy in a senior role that lead to the Pohokura field discovery. Prior to joining AWE in 2006, Dennis undertook acquisition and divestment roles for Shell NZ.

Neville Kelly

Neville Kelly joined AWE in 1997 upon its public listing. He is responsible for AWE's finance, accounting, taxation, treasury and all company secretarial duties.
Neville's career has spanned 27 years including 25 years commercial experience in the upstream oil and gas industry, including 12 years in a variety of roles with Bridge Oil Limited.

Leigh Brooks
General Manager Exploration

In 1998, shortly after AWE's public listing, Leigh Brooks joined AWE. As General Manager Exploration and Geoscience Leigh leads all AWE's geoscience teams. He is responsible for the delivery of AWE's exploration goals in Australia, New Zealand, Asia and Europe.
Leigh has 36 years experience in the petroleum industry and has worked internationally for both large and smaller companies including ExxonMobil, Oil Company of Australia and Command Petroleum/Cairn Energy. He has been involved in numerous discoveries and managed the development and exploration geoscience at the large Ravva oil field in India.

Ian Palmer
General Manager Development

Ian Palmer joined AWE in 2004 and was responsible for AWE's interests in Cliffhead and Tui fields during the appraisal and development stages.
As General Manager Development, Ian is responsible for the delivery of all AWE's development projects. In recent years Ian's primary focus has been the successful development of the Tui fields in New Zealand.
Ian has 29 years engineering, operational and project management experience in the upstream oil and gas industry with Exxon, Shell, Fletcher Challenge Energy and AWE.

Brodrick (Brod) Wray
General Manager Commercial and Business Development
BE Chemical
Brod Wray joined AWE as General Manager Commercial and Business Development in June 2008. He is responsible for AWE's commercial function, corporate strategy and the search for new investment opportunities.
Brod has spent 18 years in the oil and gas industry in reservoir engineering; gas and LNG marketing; and business development. Prior to that, he spent 6 years in the electricity industry in various commercial roles.

David Gaudoin
General Manager Europe

Dave Gaudoin joined AWE in October 2008 as General Manager Europe to establish AWE's London office. He is responsible for evaluating and capturing European upstream opportunities for AWE and alliance partner Mitsui.
Dave has twenty years of industry experience starting as a geologist for Texaco North Sea before moving to Houston. As an exploration manager he has worked in West Africa, Latin America and the Caspian for Texaco. In 2003 Dave joined Santos in Adelaide as offshore Australia exploration manager and was later regional exploration manager.

Garry Marsden
Corporate Development Manager

Garry Marsden joined AWE in May 2003 as Corporate Development Manager and is responsible for investor and external relations.
Garry joined the oil industry in 1982 as a geologist. His industry experience includes roles in stock broking as an energy analyst and corporate finance. He rejoined the oil and gas industry in 1998 in a corporate role with Oil Search Limited prior to joining AWE.

Eric Matthews
Exploration Manager NZ
BSc MSc PhD in Geology
Eric Matthews joined AWE in 2004 as Manager New Zealand Exploration. He is responsible for all AWE's New Zealand exploration. Eric played a key role in the discovery of the Tui fields in the Taranaki Basin of New Zealand.
Eric has 30 years experience in petroleum exploration, starting with Shell, then NZ Oil and Gas Ltd and Pan Pacific Petroleum. He has focused his career primarily on the Taranaki Basin, New Zealand and West Australia.

Anne Attard
Manager Corporate Services

Anne Attard joined AWE in December 2008 as Manager of Corporate Services. She is responsible for key internal AWE corporate service functions, namely IT, internal office services, employee welfare and the office of the MD.
Anne has held similar roles previously in different industries including 5 years in financial services in Australia and the UK, and 3 years in the technology industry in the UK. Prior to this Anne's experience includes 12 years conference and event management in the UK.
